I am a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a bachelors degree in Psychology. I also hold a master’s degree in Social and Emotional Learning. I am very student focused and will work with students to ensure their individual learning needs are met. I believe in teaching the “whole child”, and at the same time, I have high expectations for my students so they can see results and be proud of themselves. I have experience teaching English for grades 7-12 in the state of Mississippi. When I was a special education teacher, I taught English in an inclusion setting and provided individualized instruction during resource time in my classroom in order to offer additional support. I am very knowledgeable and experienced with the K- 12 English curriculum. I am married and I am a mother of three children aged 25, 16, and 15. During school breaks and some weekends, I enjoy traveling and especially love the beach. I also enjoy reading, writing, cooking, trying new restaurants and foods, concerts, and comedy shows. I am an aspiring author and I have collaborated with a group of authors for a book, in which I wrote a chapter and it was published in 2021.
