I am an experienced mathematics and science educator with more than 20 years of classroom teaching and tutoring experience in both the U.S. and internationally. Over the years, I have worked with students at different academic levels and have taught and tutored subjects including mathematics, AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Statistics, AP Chemistry, SAT Math, ACT - Math and other advanced quantitative subjects. I enjoy helping students understand difficult concepts rather than simply memorizing procedures. My goal is to build students' confidence, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and help them become independent learners. My teaching style is student-centered, supportive, and concept-focused. I first try to understand what a student knows, where they are struggling, and why they are struggling. I then adapt my instruction to their individual needs. Rather than immediately giving students the answer, I use guiding questions and step-by-step explanations to help them think through problems themselves. I encourage students to explain their reasoning, identify mistakes, and develop strategies they can use independently. For advanced students, I focus on deeper conceptual understanding, problem-solving, exam strategies, and applying knowledge to unfamiliar problems. For students who need additional support, I break complex concepts into manageable steps and build their confidence gradually. I also believe that communication and encouragement are important parts of tutoring. Students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without feeling embarrassed. My goal is for students to finish a lesson not only knowing more, but also feeling more confident about their ability to learn and solve problems
