About me

I’m an experienced high school science teacher with a Master’s degree and a passion for helping students feel confident in challenging science courses. I specialize in Chemistry, Biology, AP Biology, and general high school science. My tutoring style is supportive, structured, and individualized. I break difficult concepts into manageable steps, use visuals and real-world examples, and adjust my explanations until they make sense to the student. I can help with homework, test preparation, concept review, study skills, and building stronger problem-solving strategies. As a classroom teacher, I understand what students are expected to know and where they commonly get stuck. My goal is not simply to help students finish an assignment, but to help them understand the material well enough to tackle future problems independently. I also work with students who need help with organization, time management, study habits, and executive functioning skills.
