My approach is rooted in direct, systematic phonics: mastering the 70 basic phonograms and their corresponding sounds. Instead of relying on memorization or guessing from pictures, your child learns the exact building blocks of the English language. Once they learn how these sounds blend together to form words, their confidence skyrockets, and fluent reading naturally follows.
I bring over seven years of elementary classroom experience (five of those specifically in first grade) along with years of private tutoring and the joy of teaching my own three children to read. Even with a degree in education, discovering this structured method while teaching first grade completely changed how I understood reading. Chances are, you will learn right alongside your child, discovering a logical system most of us were never taught in school.
