About me

Hello! I’m Dr. Lin, with 16+ years of experience teaching statistics, quantitative research methods, and data analysis at USC. I have taught undergraduate and graduate students and tutored high school students in AP Statistics, helping many earn scores of 4 and 5 on the AP Exam. I also tutor SAT Math and bring industry experience applying statistics to real-world problems. My teaching emphasizes understanding rather than memorization. I identify each student’s needs, break difficult concepts into manageable steps, and use examples and guided practice to build statistical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and confidence.
