Online tutor Theodore Coyne

About me

I graduated this past summer with a PhD in mathematics from UC Berkeley, specializing in symplectic geometry. I also have a BA in math from Columbia. I've TAed and taught classes at Berkeley with highly positive student reviews and have extensive experience as a private tutor in math, helping students with topics ranging from calculus and linear algebra to upper division and even graduate-level material. Would be happy to help you with any standard college level math topics! Student evaluations: "He's probably the best GSI I've had so far at Cal when it comes to teaching, if Cal offered him a job as lecturer or professor I wouldn't be surprised, that's how good he is." "Nearly everything was top class. Lectures were planned with clear direction and amazing explanations. Very good at explaining both in lecture and office hours, always patient. Grades were always returned incredibly quickly, and exams were all fair. Lectures were well-paced and always finished within the allotted time."
