About me

I have a passion for teaching math. I retired last year and now realize that I miss teaching more than ever. I have the ability to break down math so students are able to understand the difference between the fundamentals of mathematics and conceptual mathematics. I specialize in all mathematics up to and including Math 1 and most of Math 2 as these are the grade levels I taught in addition to grades 7-8. Linear algebra, fractions, percentages, geometry, trigonometry, math word sentences, etc., are all taught with as much of Real Life knowledge as possible. Students nowadays have a very weak grasp of math fundamentals and I want to be someone who can change that one day at a time. I have a California K-12 teaching credential with an emphasis in mathematics; hence I taught up to freshman mathematics (ninth grade) but am capable of teaching at a higher level.
