My teaching style is structured, compassionate, data-driven, and individualized. I combine 26 years of educational experience with evidence-based reading interventions to meet each learner exactly where they are. I begin by assessing students’ strengths and skill gaps, then use the results to design targeted instruction. My lessons are explicit, systematic, and hands-on, often incorporating UFLI methods, phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, irregular words, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and multisensory activities. I'm especially skilled at helping students who have dyslexia, reading deficits, difficulty mastering grade-level standards, or challenges passing state assessments. I use modeling, guided practice, repetition, corrective feedback, and regular progress monitoring while adjusting instruction whenever a student needs a different approach.
