I’m an experienced educator, historian, writer, and former National Park Service ranger with a Master’s degree in Public History from Southern New Hampshire University. I specialize in making history, literature, social studies, and writing engaging, understandable, and memorable for students of all ages. With more than 20 years of experience in historical interpretation, educational programming, research, and storytelling, I bring history to life through interactive lessons, fascinating historical mysteries, primary sources, creative projects, and meaningful discussions. I have experience teaching and tutoring elementary, middle school, high school, homeschool, and adult learners. My areas of expertise include American and world history, AP U.S. History, historical research, reading comprehension, essay writing, humanities, and GED/HiSET preparation. I also work with students who have ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences, adapting lessons to their individual strengths and needs. My teaching approach combines structured academic instruction with creativity, encouragement, and hands-on learning. Whether your student needs help improving grades, preparing for an exam, developing stronger writing skills, or discovering a genuine love of history, I create personalized lessons that build confidence, critical thinking, and lasting understanding. My goal is simple: make learning something students look forward to, not something they dread.
