About me
Teaching has been much more than a profession for me; it has been a lifelong passion, a calling, and one of the greatest privileges of my life. Throughout my 35 years in education, I have dedicated myself to inspiring young minds, nurturing individual talents, encouraging creativity, and helping students discover their potential.
I hold two bachelor's degrees, one in Economics and one in Education, earned at Babeș-Bolyai University in Transylvania, Romania. My academic credentials have been evaluated and recognized according to American standards, and I am a Michigan-certified teacher.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching students at the elementary and middle school levels across a wide range of subjects. I have also worked with high school students as a counselor, supporting their academic development, personal growth, and future aspirations.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every child is unique and deserves to be seen, heard, respected, and encouraged. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment where students feel safe to express themselves, ask questions, explore new ideas, and develop confidence in their abilities.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been combining education with creativity and literature. I have published five books and have also had the wonderful opportunity to write books together with my students, giving them the experience of becoming co-authors. These projects taught my students that their voices matter, their ideas have value, and their imagination can become something meaningful and lasting.
Throughout my career, I have learned that a great teacher does more than deliver lessons. A great teacher inspires curiosity, builds character, recognizes potential, and leaves a positive mark on a child's life. I believe that education is not simply about preparing students for examinations, but about preparing them for life.
