About me

I am an experienced educator with 33 years of teaching experience and a strong background in supporting students in grades K–5. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Georgia teaching certification. Throughout my career, I have worked with students in whole-group, small-group, and one-on-one tutoring settings, providing individualized instruction based on each student’s unique learning needs. My experience includes classroom teaching, tutoring, foundational literacy instruction, and providing targeted academic support to help students build confidence and achieve academic growth. I have a particular interest in early literacy and helping students develop strong reading skills through engaging, research-based instructional practices. I bring a student-centered approach to tutoring and instruction, combining my extensive classroom experience with individualized attention to help K–5 students strengthen their skills, overcome learning challenges, and become more confident, independent learners.
