About me

I am a licensed educator with more than 28 years of experience working with elementary and middle school students. I hold a B.S. in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration. I provide individualized one-to-one tutoring for students in grades K–8, with extensive experience in Reading/ELA, Math, and Science. I have specialized training and experience in dyslexia intervention, structured literacy, the Science of Reading, Orton-Gillingham methods, phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and spelling. My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, strengths, and learning level. I work to identify skill gaps, provide explicit and systematic instruction, and help students become more confident and successful learners. I especially enjoy working with struggling readers and students who need patient, step-by-step instruction and encouragement.
