About me

I believe math becomes much easier when students understand the “why” behind each step. I break challenging concepts down into their simplest form and use clear, step-by-step guided instruction to help students build understanding and confidence. My approach combines targeted practice, frequent checks for understanding, and highly engaging lessons so I can identify where a student is struggling and adjust my instruction to meet their needs. I encourage students to ask questions, work through mistakes, and gradually take greater ownership of the problem-solving process. My goal is not simply to help students get the right answer. I want them to understand how they got there, build the confidence to tackle similar problems independently, and have some fun along the way. Ultimately, I want students to leave each session feeling more capable and confident in math than when they started.
