About me
I am a "life-long learner" and truly enjoy helping others learn as well. I attended Grove City College and earned my undergraduate degree in Physics and Math. I taught high school physics for a number of years and then began tutoring in physics and calculus at the college level. I went on to earn a Masters of Science in Physics and have continued teaching and tutoring these upper level subjects. I know how challenging physics and calculus can be for many students and have spent over 25 years helping students to unpack each key concept in ways they can understand.
I have been tutoring both Physics and Calculus full time for the last 8 years (over 10,000 hours on other tutoring platforms plus private tutoring). I have a number of hours available each week so students can find different times that work well for them.
Because both Physics and Calculus take a lot of time and energy for you to do well, it's important to study them with effective methods. The goal is get you to the place where you see the bigger picture quickly as you start out any random problem, set up the problem confidently, and then solve it step by step because you have developed good problem solving habits overtime.
Growing in these skills comes from practicing simpler problems first to learn the basic concepts/notation/equations and then doing more challenging problems up to the difficulty level of your exam. I have a number of simpler practice problems for each topic, but also customize this approach with your own homework assignments and practice exams, etc.
