Welcome! This platform is a leading service in connecting students with private tutors. Before you begin, it's important to understand how the platform works and what each side's role is.
What is the platform, and what is its role?
The platform is a marketplace for private lessons.
What does that mean?
The tutors on the platform are independent freelancers, not our employees. We provide the platform where they can promote themselves, and you, as a student, make direct contact with the tutor you choose.
What we do for you
We work hard to help you find the right tutor:
A high-quality, modern platform A smart search engine that filters by subject, location, level, and price, a user-friendly interface, and fast technical support.
Detailed tutor profiles Each tutor can present:
- Education and professional experience
- Teaching method and areas of specialization
- Rates and teaching areas
- Photos and certificates
- Recommendations
A Score and reviews system Past students leave feedback, and verified reviews appear with a special mark. Each tutor profile shows a weighted Score, and search results are sorted by Score (the best tutors at the top).
Quality checks and oversight We regularly monitor service quality through emails and calls to students to check satisfaction, and we remove the profiles of tutors who don't meet the standard.
What is your responsibility as a student?
It's important to understand: we're here to make finding the right tutor as easy as possible, with an advanced search system, detailed profiles, tens of thousands of real reviews, and lesson monitoring.
Even so, the responsibility for choosing the tutor, making contact, and finalizing arrangements with them is yours. The engagement is directly between you and the tutor. That means your responsibility includes:
Choosing the tutor
- Read the profile carefully
- Check the Score and recommendations
- Make sure the tutor specializes in exactly what you need
⚠️ Background check and fit It's your responsibility to carry out an independent background check:
- Ask the tutor for contact details of parents or students who can recommend them
- Speak with those references about their experience
- Ask the tutor important questions before starting
- Request a trial lesson to check the fit
- Confirm the tutor is available at times that suit you
Coordination and communication
- Agree directly with the tutor on: lesson times, location (home/online), lesson length, the material covered, and the rate
- Keep communication clear and transparent
Payment and documents
- Agree in advance on the payment method (cash/transfer/card)
- Payment is made directly to the tutor, not through the platform
- It's your responsibility to request and receive a receipt/invoice from the tutor
🔒 Safety recommendations for every student
Whether you're an adult or looking for a tutor for children, it's important to be careful:
✅ Do a thorough background check
- Ask the tutor for references (parents or former students)
- Speak with them about their experience
- Review the recommendations and Score on the platform carefully
✅ Start cautiously
- Consider starting with a first lesson online, a safe way to get to know the tutor
- Ask for a trial lesson before any long-term commitment
- Begin with a short meeting to check the fit
✅ Trust your instinct
- If something feels off, don't hesitate to stop and look for another tutor
- Open, honest communication with the tutor is a must
Safety recommendations when it comes to children
⚠️ Special instructions for parents, please read!
Do not let children meet an unfamiliar tutor without adult supervision. When looking for a tutor for a child, take extra precautions:
✅ In-depth background check
- Ask for contact details of other parents whose children study with the tutor
- Call them to ask:
- Do they recommend the tutor?
- How long has their child been studying with them?
- How does the child feel about the tutor?
- Were there any problems?
- Don't rely only on written reviews on the platform
✅ First lessons only with a parent present
- Be physically present for the first lessons
- Or hold the first lessons online (from the home computer, with the parent nearby)
- Don't leave the child alone with the tutor until you are completely confident
✅ Keep monitoring
- Even after the first lessons, stay alert
- Ask the child how the lesson went
- Stay in touch with the tutor about progress
- If the child behaves strangely or refuses to go to a lesson, find out why
✅ Prefer online lessons (at least at first)
- An online lesson is an excellent and safe way to get to know the tutor
- The child stays home in a safe environment
- You can be nearby and supervise easily
- Only once you're confident in the tutor should you consider moving to in-person lessons
Remember: your children's safety is entirely your responsibility. We provide the platform, but you need to carry out the background checks.
Why is this important to understand?
Because we are not a party to the engagement. We only provide the tools for finding a tutor.
An illustration: just as you'd use an online classifieds board to find a car but buy it directly from the seller, here too you use the platform to find a tutor, but the lessons and payment are directly with them.
✨ Tips for success
- Start with a trial lesson. Most tutors offer a discounted first lesson.
- Consider a first lesson online. A safe and convenient way to get to know the tutor.
- Read reviews, paying special attention to those from students at a similar level to yours.
- Ask to speak with references, don't rely only on written recommendations.
- Communicate directly, and don't hesitate to ask questions before starting.
- Give feedback. After your lessons, leave a review. It helps other students.
