When an online lesson ends, whether it's a first lesson or a follow-up, you need to report it in your calendar. The report/payment action appears under the "Tasks" tab once the lesson has ended.
When you click the report button, the following form opens:
(Screenshot: the reporting form)
Enter the lesson details, how long it lasted and the price you agreed on with the student. When you click "Continue", the lesson is successfully reported to your account.
Collecting payment for an online lesson is done in two different ways, at the tutor's choice:
- By credit card (See: Receiving card payments from students), processed through PayPal.
- Or directly from the student (See: Receiving payment directly from students), via bank transfer, cash, or a mobile payment app.
Important to know: With both of these payment methods, the money doesn't pass through us, it goes directly from the student to you.
For that reason, handling receipts and/or invoices with students is your responsibility as an independent tutor. It's just like any private lesson or service provided by a professional, as a tutor, you're responsible for issuing the appropriate documents to your students, in accordance with the law and your professional status.
